Mesh roll-up doors are available in three screen weave patterns. The more compact the weave, the smaller the pest it prevents, and lesser air is allowed to pass through.
Mesh Types
What is the difference between bug mesh, bird mesh and gnat mesh curtains?
Bird mesh is made with 12 x 7 weave material and allows about 75% airflow. It prevents birds from entering dock bays.
Bug mesh has a 17 x 11 dimension weave and 55% of air is capable of passing through. This mesh is the typical option to repel flies and most insects.
Gnat mesh has a 17 x 20 weave measurement and permits 35% airflow. It is adequate to block small flying insects such as gnats.
Choose the mesh that is less compact and can still prevent the entry of your pest. The bird mesh allows more fresh air to flow, and the bug mesh is ideal for flies and typical insects. While the gnat mesh will only be useful if the problem is only tiny insects since this mesh restricts airflow the most.
